When I called up the devil. Did I call up the devil? Is such a thing true? I never believed in it. I was more a Buddhist content with being present, but I had a side interest in all things conspiracy theory as a bit of fun.
Conspiracy theories are like science fiction. The stories are captivating with a sprinkle of truth added. David Icke believes in reptilians which sounds ridiculous. The freemasons believe at the higher levels in the devil not god. Sounds absurd but I had left that all behind ten years ago. This was after a psychotic break which sent my conspiracy theories into overdrive.
But while watching a BBC documentary recently about the freemasons all seemed fine until she mentioned a small group within the masons called ‘the illuminated masters’ determined to destroy Christianity.
Even last week I am watching a well-known podcast called Heretics interviewing a woman who claimed to be trafficked by Belgium billionaires. She claimed to have watched a child sacrifice by, wait for it. High level freemasons or Opus Dei. This shit gets weird.
Conspiracy theories and paranoia
I want to link modern conspiracy theories with potential mental health problems. This is because when I had my three stages of psychosis; paranoia and delusions increased and became more believable. This was in line with the intensity of my mental health problems.
Witchcraft and the devil are constant themes when dealing with psychosis. Let me preface this by telling you that I had experienced the death of my father one year while at university at 42. This was followed by the murder of my Buddhist teacher next year. These existential shocks, along with the intensity of university study, are more likely the reason for my breakdown rather than watching of demonic conspiracy theories. Or are they?
Before getting obsessed with conspiracy theories I was a Buddhist who only read books on Buddhism or books on how to develop the mind towards compassion. There is a good argument that goes if you feed your mind with anger and violence that is all you will see in the world. It’s a no brainer when you think about it.

Conspiracy theories and mental health
But conspiracy theories just begin with a laugh. It starts with David Icke’s reptilian’s then moves into wider conversations. This includes elite groups of politicians or business people using satanism or the occult and its rituals as a tool for controlling the world.
There are endless video blogs, books, and websites going into great detail about the symbolism used in pop music or Hollywood films. These are a nod and wink to those in the know.
The elite want some kind of one-world totalitarian society. This comes with the intention to eventually reduce the world population to 500 million. Bill Gates is involved. Bill Clinton. The Royal Family. The Bilderberg Group. The Trilateral Commission. They’re all involved.
Well fuck them. I have always believed that if other people wish to commit acts of evil there is nothing much I can do to stop them. Even if I am consumed by a thousand demon’s I will not become them. Better still to keep reading those books on kindness and compassion. Try to change the world one smile at a time.
