I awake today. Took ages for my eyes to open so I could finally see. The shower cleansed my body and soul. Invigorated my inner essence. Scrubbed down my skin with the towel while dealing with excess sins.
A cup of tea while viewing the horizon of my own mind. English don’t you see. Coat on. Body warm. Protected from the evil weather and machinations of the devil’s mind that roam these planetary realms of material existence.
I walk towards the high-street where dead souls roam. Ghouls with arms outstretched wandering from bargain to bargain. Nothing on their mind but the elation of an advertised product seen online, or in an advert. Worn by someone more beautiful than eye.
How can I escape. Must find nature. The trees, or sea, or water. Water, water, any water. Head to the Mersey to allow my dying soul to connect. The wind blows through the deteriorating holes from skin that can no longer hold the misery of this hell realm world.
I thought I had been born into the valley of the Gods but in fact, they’re all monsters and demons. Adam and Eve are nowhere to be seen. The Garden of Eden is up there, and the plan was to recreate that here on earth. But I am tired of digging and planting. Of speaking while no one listens. I have shouted for God, but he is too busy. I have begged for the Buddha’s assistance, but he is busy teaching.
While Joko turns to help others, who is there to help Joko when he is sick? The train of enlightenment comes but you don’t want to get on it. Because it looks awful. And what a waste to realize you need never have made the journey. The other side feels no different. This world of material pleasures requires material ambitions. Ladders to climb. Enemies to vanquish. Money to obtain. A cruel world for a faint heart full of love and compassion.
The fire eventually burns out. The flames that flicker dissipate into a dying ember. That cold coal of death. The light of life is extinguished. The dark ages are here. All hail the dark ages! Gleaming sci-fi towers. Magical floating cars. An abundance of everything as if there hadn’t already been an abundance. Screen time forever. The soul no longer exists. Double-digits and binary madness. Algorithms as our masters. Tech Bros are the King. The devil never looked so good. And in the heavenly realms, the angels still sing.
